Born and raised in San Diego, CA, I grew up with a love and healthy respect for the ocean as well as the mountains. However, with a misguided desire to climb the corporate ladder, I moved to the East Coast to attend Princeton University and later start a career in Investment Banking in NYC. After only a few years in the rat-race, with my sense of adventure crushed, I decided the goal in life is not to arrive at the grave in a materialistically pampered and well-preserved body. Rather, it is to experience all the world has to offer, and take whatever licks you may receive along the way. Currently, I run a financial consulting company that can be managed remotely and am launching a bicycle manufacturing/adventure brand: www.velogrinds.com. Today, I constantly tell myself that age may wrinkle the body, but quitting on your sense of adventure wrinkles the soul, and take the necessary steps accordingly.
