The weekend is coming and it’s time to chase some snow! With the holiday rush fast approaching, we are always looking to get in as many turns as possible.
While some regions have been hit with snow harder than others, no matter which region you live in there are places near you with weekend fluff. We are still hoping for some massive snowfall, but that doesn’t stop us from getting in first tracks!
Here’s your best bet to find some freshies this weekend:
Grand Targhee, WY
Our friends at Grand Targhee are looking at nice two-day forecast heading into the weekend, as they are expecting up to 7” of new snow on Friday with another 2” on Saturday. (Photo taken 12/13/17)
Snowbird should have a nice dusting with forecasters calling for 2-4” coming in late Friday and into Saturday.
With Killington getting over two feet of snow in the last seven days, the one weekend you want to be on the mountain is here. They’ve been working hard at opening new trails, so there should be even more corduroy to ride, especially with a couple inches of new snow expected Friday night.
Crystal Mountain, Michigan
Crystal Mountain had 6” of snow on Thursday, setting up the mountain for a great weekend with another couple of inches expected between Friday and Saturday. All this means is they are in for a sweet opening day, as they kick off their season on Friday! (Photo taken 12/12/17)
We would be remiss to not shout out Mammoth Mountain, as they have the most open terrain in the United States! Just look at the stats: 22 open lifts, 120 trails, 4 terrain parks and a base depth of 20-60 inches. Now that sounds like a great time.
Have fun out there this weekend and enjoy the ride!
