January is Learn To Ski & Snowboard month, and as a way to encourage more people to try skiing or boarding, resorts across the US are offering special programs and discounted rates to any first timers wanting to give it a go. These packages are designed to make skiers’ and snowboaders’ first experiences as easy and as fun as possible, hopefully getting them instantly hooked when they realize how fun these winter sports are!

As Michigan resort, Boyne Mountain puts it:

And that’s why, each and every January, we host Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month – a time when novice skiers and riders can give our favorite sports a whirl without breaking the bank.”
