Ullr, the Norse god of snow, is considered by many skiers and snowboarders to be a crucial piece of the snowfall puzzle.  It is not uncommon to see groups of college students in a snow-starved region burning skis and drinking beers in his name to try and bring snow back to their favorite resorts.

This year, it appears that Ullr is smiling upon North America.  This weekend, he stopped by many resorts across the Western US and Canada to provide them with more than a dusting of the white stuff.
