After a couple of July storms, ski areas across the Southern Hemisphere are looking prime right now. Below are a few highlights with current snow depths. (Snow depth totals courtesy of OnTheSnow.com.)
1. Valle Nevado, Chile – 98”
Santiago, Chile saw the BIGGEST SNOWFALL in 46 years just last week… Bad news for the thousands of people unfortunately left without power, good news for ski resorts who saw massive snow totals.

2. Ski Portillo, Chile – 47”

3. Thredbo, AU – 35”
Last week’s storm delivered big time with 30cms of fresh snow accumulating up top. Conditions were by far the best of the season…light and dry with POW stashes everywhere.
4. Mt. Hutt Ski Area, New Zealand – 91”
New Zealand recieved 26-foot deep snowdrifts following an intense winter storm this past weekend. Another huge storm is forecasted this week.
