As the temperatures drop and the snow sightings become more frequent, resorts across North America are beginning to open one by one. The lifts have already began to spun at a handful of resorts, while others are ferociously preparing for opening day.

It’s only a few weeks away until the ski season is finally in full swing and, judging by the following photos (shared by each resort), it’s already shaping up to be a great start to the season!

Killington and Sunday River’s first chairs of the season happened last week, and Sugarloaf joined them yesterday. It won’t be long until more New England resorts begin to open.

Colorado is notorious for having the earliest opening date and, this season, the state didn’t disappoint. Arapahoe Basin’s opening day was a few weeks ago in mid-October and they’ve just recently opened more terrain. Copper Mountain, Loveland, and Keystone have also joined the list on early-season openings.
